The news constantly has faced different shapes through the years in order to fit the lifestyle and the taste of readership. The huge development of technology has been the crucial factor in reshaping constantly the mass communication media all over the world, and it’s successfully breaking through the walls heading toward of new ages of journalism.

New horizons of journalism

The web threat is rapidly advancing further through the new stages of journalism, and its most advanced priorities such as new genres of multimedia world, Digital photography, sound, video clips, modern graphics and design, internal and external links, blogs, newsletters and interactivity are one of the new means that fade and leave print journalism behind its back and among traditional readership which is reducing day after day.

The priorities on technology have made the web journalism more attractable and a huge encyclopedia place towards the general readership. The readers can access to an easy navigation of a page and search for their news, they even can go beyond the news using external links. The print journalism lacks these very important priorities.

In present days lot of people are using web journalism instead print because of the need for faster way to access fast, short, concise and update news. The threat of web journalism against the print has begun since the invention of the World Wide Web more and more audience started to behave and to be involved appropriate with a new technical development.

Readers more and more are involved in a new technology lifestyle and they want to consume the time as fast they could. The web journalism offers, at the same time huge varieties of accessing the news and the opportunity not to lose the time searching for a lot of pages. They can surf through the web and then they can scan and skim. On the other side the newspapers don’t offer this chance, you should check all pages in order to find the news you are looking for, there’s no priority to updates, and there’s no attractive varieties of multimedia world such as sound, clips or interactivity.

Web journalism in Kosova

The web journalism in Kosova is of a new date, it has been developed in the end of 2000 with first Kosovo news agency “Kosovalive” and then several other agencies were established. KosovaLive news agency has been the main local provider of daily news
and the main web journalism in Kosova.

But, still is not a real threat to print journalism in this country because the regular readership still use the print and broadcast as the main news source. Kosovar readership uses more print journalism because of the technology lifestyle. First of all there’s a lack of web news agencies and print has been reshaping thought recent years to attract more readers.Nonetheless, in a global context web journalism became not just the threat but substitute phenomenon of print journalism.


The web beyond any border

The web journalism is one of the factors who don’t recognize any borders, reading the news agencies through internet the reader can have a real view from different perspective of a world regarding to an event which is happening somewhere far from a reader. The other important invention in journalism is the blog. It’s kind of personal webpage which proved to be very useful in journalism world.

The people from different isolated countries have succeeded to inform the world about the events that were happening there through these web blogs. Reading blogs especially from isolated or dictatorial can sometimes can be more useful than reading a print, because you have a personal view of situation by an ordinary people not through authoritarian media. So, web journalism role is the most important phenomenon which has update world news from a lot of different sources.
The spread of print news is slow and sometimes impossible to inform the readers from another part of world.

The web journalism dominates the world of information with the help of modern technology and readership update lifestyle and this becomes the big threat for print journalism.
